Description
The aim of the Freemasons Fund is to support people in Nottingham City and County by making grants to community and voluntary groups who work to improve their communities.  Grants are available for capital spend only – e.g. equipment.

This fund is available for groups who deliver projects under any of the following themes:

Children & Young People:

• Drugs and/or alcohol education
• Education support (e.g. dyslexia)
• Sports activities

Older & Vulnerable People:

• Support for those living alone (e.g. befrienders or homecare)
• Support for carers
• Luncheon clubs

Healthier Communities:

• Carers for mentally & physically disabled
• Low level mental health, (e.g. depression, anxiety)

Sustainable Communities:

• Community gardens / green space
• Heritage / building / land preservation
• Community volunteer champions e.g. flood wardens

Supporting documentation required with application

• Signed copy of your organisation’s set of rules / terms of reference/ constitution – this should include a dissolution clause
• Equal Opportunities Policy
• Safeguarding Child Protection Policy/Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policy where appropriate
• Most recent bank statement
• Last two years of annual accounts/income expenditure
• Quotes in support of your costs for items of expenditure more than £100

Amounts Available and Rounds
This fund runs two rounds per year in spring and autumn
£2,000 per grant (average award expected to be £1,000)

Round Dates:

Round One:
Opening Date:  6th December 2021
Closing Date for Applications:  7th February 2022

Round Two:
Opening Date:  27th June 2022
Closing Date for Applications:  12th September 2022
