Description: The Nottinghamshire Community Foundation has its own discretionary grant fund which provides support for exceptional local projects that fall outside of the criteria of our other grant funds and are deemed to be game changers. This fund is not open to applications. Outstanding groups will be invited to apply.

Description
The Nottinghamshire Community Foundation has its own discretionary grant fund which provides support for exceptional local projects that fall outside of the criteria of our other grant funds and are deemed to be game changers.
Grants of up to £1000 are awarded to groups who deliver projects under any of the following themes:
Children & young people – examples being:
- Drugs and/or alcohol education
- Education support (e.g. dyslexia)
- Sports activities
Older & Vulnerable People – examples being:
- Support for those living alone (e.g. befrienders or homecare)
- Support for carers
- Luncheon clubs
Healthier Communities – examples being:
- Carers for mentally & physically disabled
- Low level mental health, (eg depression, anxiety)
Sustainable communities – examples being:
- Community gardens / green space
- Heritage / building / land preservation
- Community volunteer vhampions e.g. flood wardens
Amount Available and Rounds
Four awards of up to £1000 will be given each year for either revenue or capital costs.
The fund is not open to applications. Groups are invited to apply.
