The Broxtowe Community Fund
Description: The Broxtowe Community Fund supports people in Broxtowe by making grants to community and voluntary groups who work with people in need within the Broxtowe Borough Council boundary. The fund is open to applications from fully constituted voluntary and community groups, locally registered charities, community interest companies, charitable incorporated organisations and social enterprises.

Description and Criteria
The Broxtowe Fund has been set up to specifically benefit the residents of the Broxtowe community within the County of Nottinghamshire. The Fund will be given in grants to support locally registered charities and not for profit organisations who are based in Broxtowe Borough and have a track record of delivering projects in Broxtowe Borough, for projects that exclusively benefit people in need in Broxtowe Borough.
The fund is open to applications from:
- Constituted voluntary and community groups
- Locally registered charities
- Charitable incorporated organisations
- Community interest companies
- Companies limited by guarantee with charitable aims
- Social enterprises
Grants are available to qualifying projects under the following themes:
- Young people’s wellbeing
- Vulnerable adults and the elderly
- Refugees, resettlers and asylum seekers
- Homelessness
- Domestic violence
- Education, training and employability for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Grants will not be awarded to:
- Statutory or public services
- Organisations with significant free reserves
- Organisations that do not operate or run activities in Broxtowe Borough
- Groups not properly constituted or without accounts
- Projects that have already taken place
- Groups not registered in Nottinghamshire
- Faith groups unless they are open to the wider community
- Activities promoting party political activity
- Individuals or sole traders
- Activities generating private profit
Amounts and Rounds
Groups can apply for amounts ranging between £1,000 – £2,000 which must be spent within one year.
The current round opens Monday 24th June with a closing date of Monday 30th September.
A panel meeting will be arranged for September and applicants will be notified of decisions shortly afterwards.
All successful grant applicants are required to complete a grant monitoring report at the end of their project and supply at least one case study with photographs. Grant applicants will be expected to participate in any appropriate publicity as requested by the community foundation.
